Annual Fall Hot Beef Dinner
Mark your calendar to join us on Saturday, September 26, 2025, from 4:30 – 6:30 pm for the Annual Fall Hot Beef Dinner. This is a homemade meal consisting of Hot Beef Sandwiches with real mashed potatoes and gravy, good ol’ Iowa corn, cranberry salad, and apple crisp. Tickets are now available: Adults – $15.00, Ages 5-10 – $7.00, and ages 4 and under free. Starting September 6, tickets may be purchased before and after worship, or by calling the church office at 319-233-3156. To go orders and delivery are available upon request. There will also be a bake sale starting at 4:00 pm with baked goods.jewelry, quilts, home decorations, kitchen items, and baked goods.
Widows and Widowers
Widows and Widowers will meet on Tuesday, September 8. We will meet at Pizza Ranch for lunch at 11:30 am. Our invitation is always open.
Church Office Closed
The church office will be closed September 7 for Labor Day.
WELCA Annual meeting
Our WELCA group will have their annual meeting on Sunday, August 16, immediately after worship in the library to make plans for next year, and to decide on disbursement of funds. Light refreshments will be served.
Theology on Tap
Theology on Tap will start meeting again on September 10. We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 5 pm at the Second State Brewery in Cedar Falls. Anyone is welcome. We meet and enjoy food, fellowship, and drink while we discuss our faith. Many times we discuss something that is currently happening in our world and how we can react to it as Christians. We have many interesting discussions. Even Martin Luther enjoyed drinking Whittenberg beer with his friends to show that God’s work happens even in ordinary life. Come join us!
